Your Host
Tarik Aabi was born in the desert. When his older sister was enrolled, the nomad family decided to settle in Tamegroute, a village on the edge of the desert. Together with his father, he founded the travel agency when he was in his early twenties. He organizes your perfect holiday tours in Morocco, shows you the most beautiful places in the south, leads you into the desert and leaves nothing to be desired. Tarik speaks English, French, Italian, Spanish, of course Berber and Arabic. And he loves to be inspired by the different lights and colors of the Sahara.

Caravan trek into desert
Three days trekking into the desert with dromedaries, stopping for tea, meals and necessary breaks, in the middle of sand dunes and overnight either bellow the stars or in tents. A caravan trek is a great opportunity to discover for some time another way of living, closer to mother Nature and discover the magic of simple life.
Merzouga: Golden dunes and starry sky
3-days-trip: In the golden dunes of Merzouga the show of mother nature is even more marvelous at sunset, dawn and sunrise. Possibility to ride dromedaries. Overnight either in the hotel or in typical Berber tents, as you like. We will also visit the famous Rissani souk.
Tinfou camp: Quick impressions of desert
Tinfou dune is six kilometres away from the village Tamegroute. We offer riding on a dromedary and a tea break. In the evening, you will share an excellent dinner around the open fireplace. Overnight in a nomads tent and breakfast. You get an impression of simple and beautiful life in desert.

The Potters Of Tamegroute
Long time ago the founders of the religious brotherhood of Tamegroute assembled merchants and craftsmen of Fes, a city that enjoyed good relations with Tamegroute at that time. This was the starting point of pottery tradition in our village. Pottery has become its main characteristic.
At the main square of Tamegroute, you find seven ovens. Seven ovens belonging to seven pottery families. Each family has an oven and own atelier, built of clay.
How To Go To Tamegroute
We pick you up at the airports of Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca, Agadir, Ouarzazate and Zagora. If you have only little time to experience Morocco, a good priced flight from Marrakech to Ouarzazate or from Casablanca to Zagora would be a comfortable option. On a more sustainable way you can go to our village Tamegroute by public transport. Please let us know, if you need any further information on that.
